Abegael coaches people to craft their stories. She knows the great world myths are longing for our personal narrative images to be spoken aloud in real time or in ‘reel time’ on video. Abegael has presented at the Wosk Centre for Dialogue, SFU Imaginative Education Conferences, CBC’s Word on the Street, and UBC Museum of Anthropology. She teaches story technique through organizations like the Celebrant Foundation. Past artistic director, Vancouver International Storytelling Festival and World Storytelling Day, Abegael has developed many enduring community initiatives. She is passionate about storytelling, for, as she says, “there is no power greater than our collective imagination, and storytelling continually strengthens us. We are all stouthearted tellers, and makers of meaning.”

She is certified in Image Consulting and Advanced Image Consulting through the International Image Institute (Toronto, ON) and holds her international designation (CIC) from the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI).
